Opportunity Knocks! Consider being an Author....now is the time!

Packt Publishing a leading publisher of Oracle technology books is looking for authors for the following titles listed below.

Potential authors need to understand the commitment required when writing a book. Packt is happy to consider more than one author on any project. Packt will work closely with the author/s during the writing phase and provide full editorial support, so an 'excellent' command of English is not needed (although good English literacy is expected). In turn, no previous writing experience is needed... many of their authors have been first timers. The writing time per book varies, but a typical book of 250 pages should take, from start to finish, around 6-7 months to write.

At Packt we really go out of our way to make an author feel comfortable, so nothing is ever 'set in stone'. We will always do our best to accommodate good people. Aside from the financial benefits that come from writing, many authors acknowledge the kudos that comes from being a published author and the heightened professional profile that follows.

*Author Requirements:* expertise with the specific topic area of the book proficiency in English previous authoring experience not necessary but a plus
